Ice Festival

FROZEN in fun since 1984!  What began as high-octane ice racing has grown into a full-throttle winter festival on the frozen surface of Lac La Biche Lake.

Now rebranded as the Lac La Biche Ice Festival, it honors roots while welcoming new thrills, tastes, and traditions.

We have the same great racing that we have had running in Lac La Biche for 43 years, PLUS MUCH MORE!

The event started with cars racing on the ice. Next came sleds with snow drags, which led to ice drags with crazy high HP sleds. About this time we started the kids carnival and the aircraft landing on the ice runway. The trappers put up a display and an axe throwing activity where people could try their luck. Over the past couple of years, we have added snowmobile events to the mix and ice and snow sculpting displays.

With the help of other non-profit groups in the area, we are able to host a one-of-a-kind event.
